A nonsensical anecdote

by on February 22, 2013

Boy have I got an anecdote for you
Frankly speaking, it was just us two

Generally and always
Sometimes in Norway
Not nearly quite often though
Was I in peril?
Assisted by the devil
Like a starlet on display in a show

The show had a dance
That portrayed a stance
As we dwindled in the pages of a book
Move upon move
Checks in the groove
The bishop does taketh the rook

A rook has points five
A bee has a hive
Oh! Honey is as sweet as it gets
But a bee does sting
So a horse I will bring
Which is the fairest of the pets

And fair enough
Is well enough
The lord does bless us with his grace
Where anything as such
Doesn’t do as much
When you have so despondent a face
